SLN-44D: a new generation of pulse counter

SLN-44D is a modern electronic preset counter in a DIN 48 × 48 mm enclosure, designed as a direct successor to the SLN-44, but with extended functionality and refined ergonomics.

Key features:

• support for contact signals, open-collector type signals, and voltage signals,
• counting modes: addition, subtraction, addition and subtraction, and quadrature,
• 1 or 2 preset levels (or 1 level + pre-alarm),
• 1 or 2 relay outputs,
• power supply: 12-24V DC or 100-240V AC,
• EEPROM memory protects data in the event of power loss,
• clear LCD display with backlight.

Example application:

The SLN-44D performs excellently, for example, in dosing and packaging applications.
The counter can count pulses from an encoder or a pulse sensor, and after reaching the programmed value:

• switch on a relay controlling a gate, cutting knife, or valve,
• perform an automatic reset and start the next cycle,
• use the second threshold as a pre-alarm to slow down the process or provide earlier warning to the operator.

Thanks to the prescaler and flexible operating modes, one device can handle many different applications without the need to change hardware.
